Becca Rakes In $130, 000 At Children's Ball

Becca’s foundation hope to raise $150, 000 to register 10,000 children onto the NHIS plan across the country was accomplished on 20th March, 2010. Now that's really hot from Becca!

Chief of Staff, Mr Sylster Mensah, CEO of National Health Insurance Authority, Joe Ohemang, a partner at Deloitte & Touche, Kwame Sefa–Kayi, Nunoo, Tony Aidoo of NDC, Akosua Adjapong, Iyoala Ayoade, CEO of Charter House and more high dignitaries at Becca’s ball. Country Director of the World Bank, H.E. Mr. Isaac Diwan served as the patron for Becca’s “Children’s Ball”.

Becca’s work to help impoverished children will surely be rewarded at the coming 10th Ghana Music Awards in the “Music for Development” award. Inspired by the wise sayings of the late Mahatma Ghandi that, ‘we must become the change we want to see”, Becca didn't sing much; instead, she thanked everyone who made donations and pledges to her project.

These are challenging problems that no one person can address, but working together everyone can lend a hand and make a difference", Becca said. The 'Daa Ke Daa' singer also said this event will be a yearly one during her back stage interview.

Dr. Raymond Krakraba Quashie steered affairs for the nite but when the most important phase of the ball got to its turn, Kwami Sefa-Kayi and Chester Annie handled it smoothly. Amakye Dede, still proved he was still young in music when he got the Banquet hall of the State House ignited up with old highlife tunes of his best songs.

‘Seriously’ Amakye Dede rocked the nite. Amakye Dede promised to pen down a song with Becca soon. Renee Q’s fashion show and Basket Mouth comedy jokes also spiced up the ball.
