In 2002, C. O. Lewis, the hiplife champion who was ranked alongside the VIPs, Obours, Buk Baks, Terry Bonchakas as one of the best hiplife artistes has gone ‘underground’ for sometime now.

Behold, the hiplife champion, successor to the late Terry Bonchaka (Club Pleasure Hiplife Champion 2001) has made it clear to Ghana Music.com that he has gone to his roots and is coming back to the hiplife scene.

The waiting and silence was perhaps the hardest but C. O. Lewis who is announcing his latest album ‘C. O. Lewis Wasa A Landi’ which he explains that he has gone home and done his corrections will be accepted in the hiplife saturated game.

Despite been underground for sometime now, the artiste has noticed the changes in the game and promises his fans some surprises.

His favourite artistes are Nkasei, Kwaw Kwaadee, and Shasha Marley because he like their stagecraft and costumes and wish to come out and do a good job like them. His understandable and danceable tunes focuses on Indiscipline subjects.

His trademark is one eye. His style is wanted. His dress code is something else that some stars want.

He is a good artiste and for now wants a good promoter to call him on 233 24 386 1216.

“Ghanaians will be happy. Why? Because C. O. Lewis is juts like Terry Bonchaka. Of course, we are all from the same root”, he said.

His future album features hiplife and raglife artistes like Castro, Tinny, Kokovelli, Barosky and Screwface, which had sound engineers like Appietus, Jay Q, Ashes of Hitz Digital touch it with magical hands.

C. O. Lewis recalled to me that when he was in class four, his tutor wanted him stop school and go to a musical school.

C. O. Lewis joined the Club Pleasure in 2001 with Terry Bonchaka, Abortion, Kwaadee, and Kontihene, winning the regional zone and Terry Bonchaka been crowned the national champion. Luck eluded on him and he won the grand prize the following year. After that Media Whizz kidz said they would produce him but did not fulfill their promise.

For C. O. Lewis’s new album, he assures his loyal fans that the lyrics, chorus and his stage appearances are all decent.

With rap champions like Nkasei, Castro, Obour, Batman, on the album, C. O. Lewis promises to make a mark on the music scene after he comes out. So far, the welcome he has received from the public and the community of music artistes has made his long awaited album.
