So far one can say the hiplife music is really making strides in Ghana and every day a new talent is discovered.

More students by the help of entertainment sections on our time table in schools are really helping many to unearth their hidden musical talent. One of such talents is 17yr old Daniel Kwasi Edinkrah a.k.a “Bepo”, a form 2 Science Student of St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School.

According to “Bepo” being a musician has been his dream since infancy and so has followed this childhood dream. He really took it serious three years ago and when he was in stage five (5). Raping and miming to other peoples songs was how he started it all and he did to the admiration of everybody who watches him do his own thing.

Out of this freestyle thing he was doing a man called Nana Yaw popularly known as Ronaldo after listening to him decided to help and so he recommended him to a friend. The friend who was recommended happened to be “Bepo’s” senior brother who never knew the talent his brother possessed. His brother agreed and collaborated with another friend called Nero (his current producer) to record him.

They managed to record him but unfortunately the producer traveled abroad and his brother had to go back to school and so the album couldn’t come out as planned. With the help of God they are all back and currently the project has taken off in grand style.

His album is really making impact on the air waves especially his “Ono dzi ono” tracks in which he rapped in Ga and many thought it was “Tinny of Aletse kankpe fame”. The album titled “Moko be” as other tracks like “Dzi we ni”, “Ke ofo te”, “Ono dzi ono” and many more.

The young Ga and Twi rapper said initially because he is in school his family were not very happy with the trend he took but gradually they have all come to understand him and are giving him the support he needs. To him he does music during his leisure hours and still very serious with his lessons.

He said it’s his greatest dream to be a pilot and also he wants to be the first pilot and musician at the same time. To him combining education with music is not easy but with the help of his producer Nero and manager David Sadiqque things are under control and moving on smoothly as they all want.
