Big Brother Amplified: Female Ghanaian DJ Makes Ghana Proud

She was given sixty minutes to perform and entertain the inmates of the Big Brother Africa Amplified houses and she delivered on spot, much to the amazement of inmates and the public!

Y FM’s finest female DJ and Africa’s number one female DJ, Nana Kessewa Adu popularly known as DJ Kess last weekend made Ghana proud with her impressive and sizzling performance as the official DJ for the Big Brother Amplified party.

With a carefully selected compilation of songs ranging from hip hop, RnB, Nigerian songs, contemporary music and Ghanaian tracks, her royal highness rocked the BB house and got all celebrants partying all night and talking about her performance. Amazed at her song selection, many occupants of the Big Brother House and viewers kept asking where this female hailed from, which programmes she presented and where ‘she has been hiding’ all this while.

DJ Kess’ performance was as a result of her being selected to perform at the Saturday Night house party that are normally held for the inmates of the Big Brother Amplified house every Saturday night. Her performance was transmitted live on Channel O and Y 107.9FM. Her impressive performance got her another spot in South Africa. She explains that ‘my playing at the Big Brother House was a great opportunity for me. I went there to project the Ghanaian female DJ. Even though I was a bit nervous, it was much more fun than I expected. I am grateful to Y FM for the exposure and the huge platform’.

Station Manager of Y FM, Nana Kwame Sarpong who also doubles as the presenter of Drive of Your Life noted that ‘we are really proud of DJ Kess for making us proud and raising the flag of Ghana high. As a result, we are throwing a big party to celebrate her for this great feat this Thursday at Bella Roma in Osu. We call it the ‘The Celebration Jam with DK Kess’ and it will be on from 10pm till you drop’.

Nana Kwame Sarpong also added that the event will be MCied by the Y FM Hot Squad with DJ Kess and Killer Fingers as the official DJs for the night. Special appearances include Asem, Richie, Eazzy, Ziggy and Chase.

Big Brother is an international television format that features a number of contestants living in an isolated house, while trying to avoid being evicted, and ultimately winning a large cash prize following a set number of days in confinement.
