Brenya drops ‘Kelewele’ 26 June

Highlife cum afrobeat artiste, Kwasi Brenya-Baah, known in showbiz as Brenya, is set to release his latest single titled Kelewele tomorrow, Tuesday, 26 June 2018.

“Trust me, Kelewele is already a banger. I took my time in the studio, got the song recorded live and I can assure my fans and Ghanaians at large that it’s one of the songs they would like to add to their playlist for the rest of the year and even beyond," he told ClassFMonline.com.

The song, produced by Liquid Beatz, asks its listeners to show by hand if they love Kelewele – a traditional Ghanaian dessert made with ripe plantain.

“If Yvonne Chaka Chaka could intriguingly eulogise our African beer with the song, Umqombothi, why not Brenya doing same for Kelewele?” he answered when asked why he chose to sing about the local dish.

The graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, has, for the past years, released a number of songs including Life and Barikisu.
