This Saturday November 25, Ghanaian Urban Life singer/songwriter Chemphe is singing two songs taken from his debut album on TV3's hit show Music Music.
First, Chemphe will heat things up with the title track of his album 'No Pampanaa' featuring 2Ga, the Afra Muzek performer (By the way, 2Ga's own debut album is also just around the musical corner). Then the singer/songwriter will sing his anti-domestic violence anthem 'Why U Dey Treat Am Bad'.
Chemphe?s Urban Life music, a smooth blend of R&B and African styles, speaks essentially about matters of the heart. He composed 'Why U Dey Treat Am Bad' to raise awareness about domestic violence and it is fitting that it will be performed on the International day for Elimination of Violence against Women. 'Why U Dey Treat Am Bad' has already started getting airplay on Accra radio.
BB Menson, undisputed king of late night radio and host of the award-winning 'Night Train' says he's "feeling the song". And hear Okyeame Quophi, host of Hot 93.9 FM's evening drive show 'Rush Hour' : "It's a nice song with a purpose".
Phamous People, famous for their creative and high quality output, will have the video ready for airplay in December.
The singer/songwriter?s debut album ?No Pampanaa? on the Flava Records label is now available in Ghana and will be available online from January 2007.
