Chico Dawuni first hit the Ghanaian music scene while a student at the University of Ghana, Legon in the late nineties with his hit album, 'Kasa', a unique blend of highlife and R&B.

Now, the founder of Voice Productions, Chico Dawuni has set out to identify and produce young talents among deprived and underprivileged children who have interest in the multimedia sector especially music and acting.

Having already made a couple of cash and food donations to some orphanages in the northern region, Chico Dawuni in a telephone interview outlined some of the aims of Voice Production, whose activities cover a wider magnitude than just an event organization and advertising company, as initially perceived by many.

He stated that it was to support Non Governmental Organizations and Charities working for street children in Ghana and Africa as a whole, by raising awareness about the plight of the street child in towns and cities.

Voice Production among other things will also share information with related agencies and invent approaches to help combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Chico Dawuni also said "it is very sad to see children in the third world condemned to a future of illiteracy, unemployment, disease and abject poverty through no fault of theirs".

Voice Production will throughout this year organize musical concerts around the world to raise funds to champion this cause and furthermore offer sponsorship for potential actors/actresses who will be recruited through domestic talent competitions among street children and orphanages.

It is believed that, not only will this serve as a form of entertainment but create employment and raise public awareness to their plight.

During the interview, Chico Dawuni was full of praise for the new wave of Ghanaian musicians and urged them to establish hiplife as a major employment avenue and a source of foreign exchange earner for the country.
