After releasing their last album, entitled "Ye Mbre (Our Time)" in 2009, they are back to show Dadabee fans which is now D2 fans that they haven't gone that far, Duke and Genesis has been working hard, although it's been behind-the-scenes.

The group lineup for the ‘God Dey’ album is Genesis and Duke and this time round had to go all out without Sugar on the new name dubbed D2.

“This album represents our past, present, and future as a new group," Duke said in a statement. The group is still planning to release the album soon, according to Genesis.

“We want to inspire our fans to be the best that they can be in the role (s) chosen as God Dey, no worries," Duke added. Since the group's old album, they have been on the low and are out of their hole now and well focused now.

The all new D2 represents hope and to never to give up even when the odds are against us. “We were blessed to be surrounded good people, and now; it is about solidifying to ourselves and the world”, they continued.

The new duo known as D2 are one of the most prominent rap groups to every come out of DC (Dansoman), but as of late, fans haven't heard much about what they've been up to unless you were lucky to catch them at a show.

Although it's a whole different music scene now, D2 is ready to bring the danceable flavours back with a twist and even extra work. They are armed with standout tracks like ‘Chop Ur Money’, ‘God Dey’ and ‘Shake Ur Body’. They enlisted the help of prolific new comers’ independent producers, Dr Ray & Cash 2.

Judging the songs listed above, the album will be worth checking out. This album displays a collection of material that showcases the bands diversity.

Due to their accessible music and creative production technique, D2 will be doing well in the future. If anything, their three promo songs (‘Chop Ur Money’, ‘God Dey’ and ‘Shake Ur Body’.) serves as a preview of good things to come.
