The energy at which dancehall artistes perform on stage directs one’s mind towards the idea that it is meant for only the youth and energetic but not the aged.
This perception changed over the weekend when “Agrofie” TV show sponsored by Vodafone Cash happened at Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region.
The Easter edition of the TV show that brought joy on the faces of many Ghanaians who travelled to Eastern Region had female dancehall artiste, Nyamekye as the headline act.
Nyamekye who has performed at many major events in the country proved to the crowd that she is young but has the energy to be a dancehall artiste.
The frisky performance of the female dancehall artiste electrified the aged who attended the show to dance. The elderly who normally dance to highlife music could not sit and watch Nyamkeye perform without making use of their dancing shoes.
She created an atmosphere of fun for the crowd to enjoy which generated a competition between the old and the young.
The crowd could not keep quiet but yearn for more after the “Simple Girl” hitmaker had left stage.
