Don Jojo full of confidence of himself

                                                      He claims his album is well-written, well-sung and well-produced. “The Stick Up Kid” will separate itself from most modern Ghanaian R&B albums in that its songs have strong themes that appeal to all ages.

Growing up in Leeds, UK, “I have been hustling to feed my family and trying to achieve my goals in life”, says young Don Jojo.



So after going through one of the most difficult times of his life, Don Jojo survived and made it through the fire a better person.



In an interview with new entrant, Don Jojo steps into our ‘1 on 1’ booth to talk about his self confidence in the game.


Don Jojo is thrilled to be featured on Ghana Music.com and has promised he is going to surprise people in a good way.


How else do you explain the fact that without a video to support his upcoming album he still has a large fan base in the United Kingdom. Don Jojo must have some seriously loyal fans. Read on….



Ghana Music.com: What’s up, Don Jojo?


Don Jojo: Am cool, u know just hustling to feed my family, and trying to achieve my goals in life.



Ghana Music.com: I must say that you are surprised to be on Ghana Music.com?

Don Jojo: Yeah man, but is cool though because am gonna take Ghana to the next level you know.



Ghana Music.com: Ok, what’s going on in Leeds, UK?


Don Jojo: Its cold over here man. Just working hard because it’s very difficult doing everything by yourself but it’s ok because am getting good feedback.



Ghana Music.com: What kind of response are you getting so far from your new album?


Don Jojo: Am getting good feedback so that tells me am not was wasting my time.



Ghana Music.com: I am learning to play the guitar. Can you give me any tips?


Don Jojo: Just be yourself and be creative with the right melody and the you will be cool.



Ghana Music.com: Do you feel appreciated in the UK?

Don Jojo: Yeah I do because they always ready to support a good course.



Ghana Music.com: What do you think of music in the UK?


Don Jojo: Music in the UK is big and I don’t think Ghana is even half way near so that’s why I feel like am the man for the job to take Ghana music to where they are now.



Ghana Music.com: There is word that you have a strong bonding with Realyz and Bandana?


Don Jojo: If you ask him he will tell u the same thing he got my back I got his back and that’s how we ride. He is one of a kind and very talented individual



Ghana Music.com: What is this Farac-Cann-Music, you keep making noise about?


Don Jojo: It was founded in the year of the scorpions’, my very first foot step on earth and when my parents gave me the name FRANCIS CANN.



Ghana Music.com: What is the ‘The Stick Up Kid”?

Don Jojo: That’s the name of my album. I used that because it talks about my life, my relationships, what me and mum and my sisters have to go through when dad left. And also trying to find the reason of been this world.



Ghana Music.com: How come it has been a long way coming for you?


Don Jojo: Because my style of music is different and secondly I have been in the UK working trying to do something for myself and with the help of Djinn Music, I managed to come out with my first EP album. And I got to thank God for that and my mum.



Ghana Music.com: Tell us a song that’s out right now that you absolutely can NOT stand, like when you hear it you just wanna scream?


Don Jojo: No comment they know themselves and is very sad but what can u do.



Ghana Music.com: Since the industry is saturated with mainstream stuff that all sounds the same, how are you gonna weave your way through it?


Don Jojo: I don’t worry too much about them you know i do my music for my ghetto youth, my falling soldiers, the street hustlers ,my single parent, and to anyone who may relate to my music.



Ghana Music.com: Do you feel like you owe anything to the industry? Or is music just something that you’ve always dreamed of doing, and you’re just trying to accomplish a goal?

Don Jojo: Music is being part of my life since my childhood days, in school, in the church choir and also it’s what I’ve been bless with so as long as I leave that is what am gonna do.



Ghana Music.com: If you didn’t make it as a musician, what would you be doing instead because I hear you are into fashion too?


Don Jojo: MUSIC FOR LYFE. I also got my clothing label coming out soon so watch out for Farac-Cann urban wear. May be with the help of God I will be able to have my art foundation up so I can help the street kids.

Don Jojo: Very inspirational, funny and educative.
