Malaysian-based multi-award winner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 4Real Records, JKL aka Dr Money, has set up a branch of his company in Ghana to hunt for talents who will go with him on a mega tour of Asia and the United States.

This, according to the Nigerian-born entrepreneur, is part of his quest to promote African culture and music to the Asians in particular and the Western World in general.

The music mogul, who has built an ultra modern studio in Taifa, a suburb of Accra in Ghana, has disclosed that his outfit had signed fast-rising Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artiste, Ras Kuuku, into their record label but is only waiting for a few legalities to be sorted out before it is made public.

He also disclosed that his company was looking forward to engaging the likes of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy for their Asian tour.

JKL (Justin Kingland) is also an established musician, and the African Music Ambassador in Malaysia. He is the founder of ‘Face of Agulu’ in Nigeria – a beauty pageant meant to celebrate the beauties in the eastern part of Nigeria. He is also the creator of ‘Anambra Got Talent’ in the same part of that coutry.

In 2005 Kingland formed the first African dancehall group in Malaysia called ‘I and I Combination’ alongside King Lhota of Senegal. In 2008 he was invited by Fourth Quarter Entertainment to Florida USA, thus becoming the first African artiste on their music chart.

Kingland has done music professionally for over 14 years and has collaborated with legends in reggae and dancehall tunes; notable among them are Sizla Kalonji and Elephant Man. He has also rocked the same stage with super stars like Rita Mali, High Jahman, Gregory Isaac, Damian Marley and Nigeria’s Majeck Fashek.

In an interview with Radio Gold, he made it clear that as an African with a passion for his motherland, nature and music had driven him to all corners of the world in search of people with pure musical inspiration and motivation. This, according to him, is one of the reasons why he is in Ghana.

He encouraged Ghanaian artistes who know that they are good enough for the Asian market to reach him on his facebook (jkl4real) and with @jkl4real as the twitter handle.
