New business directory for Tema

Mon, 7 Dec 1998 Source: --

Baatsona (Greater Accra), 7 Dec. - A new comprehensive business directory, which will be reviewed every two years, is to be published for the Tema business community. The directory will provide information on the telephone and web site addresses, location, products and services of businesses and will also be hooked to the internet. Mr Walter Dzokoto of PHG Consults, a business consultancy firm, said the directory forms part of the Tema International Trade Centre (TITC) idea, which will serve as a one-stop centre for business transactions. The TITC, which will cost 50 billion cedis will be completed in five years. Mr Dzokoto said, business information on the website will be up-dated every six months to provide latest information to the local and international business community. He said most business directories do not have adequate information and PHG Consults and the Tema Municipal assembly, which is working on the project, will strive to cover all businesses. Mr Dzokoto said the directory will categorise businesses into groups like mining, manufacturing, retail trade, public administration and services.
