Many would have expected her to be in skimpy clothes but Ghana’s most-watched female artiste proved otherwise as she ‘covered up’ at the corporate launch of her ‘Bonyfied’ album at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra last night.
Dancehall artiste Ebony Reigns was surprisingly adorned with clothes that covered vital parts of her body, unlike previous events where she had been spotted in semi-nude dresses.
Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng popularly referred to as Ebony Reigns in Showbiz has received several backlash from critics and some of her colleagues in the music industry for her nudity.
Her manager, Bullet who is also a member of the music duo Ruff N Smooth, defended the sassy musician saying that’s how majority of Ghanaian female musicians dress thus he saw nothing wrong with how she dressed since it’s a showbiz business. The daring singer admitted she would have exposed more if not for her manager.
For her first appearance, the 90s Bad Gyal was dressed in a pair of African print shorts and a kimono-like dress.
She was then clad in a long svelte evening gown with a slit on the left side to accentuate her leg for her second appearance, which was not bad at all.
Ebony had a successful launch which was attended by the crème de la crème in the entertainment industry. There were familiar faces like Captain Planet, KOD, Giovani, Lexis Bill, Kaaki, Efya, Abeiku Satana, Root Eye, who there to throw their weight behind the ‘90s bad girl’.
The album consisted of 16 songs with some written by Ebony and contributing writers like Bullet, Rudebwoy Rankin, Gatdoe, Das and Fredi.
