Edem lands in India

The phenomenal rise of Edem of ‘Go Get Dem Fame’ is nothing short of impressive, that he broke through the ranks in 2008 but has become a regular staple in the music diet of fans and observers alike is commendable.

So after showing that he possesses the stamina to do music in Ewe, English, Twi, Ga and Patois, the ‘Bra Fremi Fremi’ hitmaker decided to once and for all tout his own horn as the best rapper in the system.

Stating out his claim in ‘Best Rapper’ featuring evergreen musician Black Prophet, Edem does not mince words, hear him: “…..my dear friends do I bother you, I don’t follow trends but I order you… you are my son so I father you….made a finger to you and the other crew…Edem is the greatest rapper.. original, authentic like a thumb print….”.

His partner in crime Black Prophet adds “any time you see the fire coming run run cos you can’t hide, fire from the best rapper you can’t hide, wicked bad mind you can’t hide…”

Edem does not end there, he asserts that he is the leader of the new school and that other cats better be informed that they owe him dues stressing that “even with cocoa butter they can’t outshine him”.

The new twist to Edem’s rap is that he delivers using an Indian tone or diction clearly demonstrating that he has enough gas to render his raps in any language that takes his fancy perhaps Chinese is next.
