There are good enough reasons for everyone to be part of this year?s Kwahu Easter Fiesta scheduled for next weekend at the Abetifi Community Centre.
Unlike the previous events, this year?s will spread over three days from Good Friday, April 14 to Easter Sunday, April 16. Also, the array of top musicians billed to perform are simply irresistible for anyone to want to miss out of the excitement.
This was disclosed to Showbiz by Mr Seth Karikari of Kays Media Productions who are organising the event in collaboration with 100 Degreez.
?We have put together such a mouth-watering package that everyone should be a part of,? Mr. Karikari told this reporter. ?Again we have spread it over three days to ensure that every visitor to Kwahu this Easter will carry good memories of an unforgettable Easter celebration.?
The line-up of artistes for the three-day event, according to Mr Karikari are, the award-winning Ofori Amponsah alongside Kofi Nti and Barosky, Lord Kenya, K. K.Fosu, Wutah, Praye, FBS, Nkasei and Kwabena Kwabena.
With the calibre of artistes billed to perform, one cannot expect anything short of great music and spectacular performances as has been promised by the organisers.
The first day is the Akwaaba Nite which will basically be a night of socialisation.
?There will be great music with the Megastar Band in attendance together with all the above-mentioned artistes,? Mr. Karikari said, ?guests will have the opportunity to interact with all their favourite artistes.?
Saturday Night will see a mega musical concert ?Ofori Amponsah and Friends live in Concert? again featuring the Megastar Band.
All the artistes will take turns on stage with the spotlight on the man who walked away with seven awards at the just ended Ghana Music Awards, Ofori Amponsah.
?This will be his first major concert in Ghana after he swept the awards, he will give patrons a taste of some of the songs on his soon-to-be-released album, Broken Heart, Mr Karikari said.
?Star of Kwahu? is the new title for the usual Miss Kwahu pageant scheduled for Easter Sunday.
12 beauties from the Presbyterian University College, Abetifi will be vying for the enviable crown which will come with wonderful prizes.
MCs for all the events will be Koo Fori, Omanhene Kwabena Asante and Kwame Dzokoto.
