However one of Ghana?s finest gospel musicians Esther smith recently set a new chart show record on the music scene when she became the first musician ever to occupy the top of the S.P.A.B Chart Show for 37 weeks and might clock the 40 mark possibly.
Her latest album entitled (Nyame Boafo) became an instant hit after its release, no wonder the fascinating track (Nipa), caused a stir on the gospel chart.
The previous record holder on the S.P.A.B Chart Show was the award winning Cindy Thompson who?s (Ewurade Kasa) took the first place for 36 weeks.
Meanwhile host of the S.P.A.B chart show on Channel R, D.J. Abio said although Esther?s song was a hit song he did not believe it could have stayed on the chart for the much.
Other Ghanaian musicians who previously occupied the chart show for a record span include lord Kenya with (Medo) - 34 weeks and Kojo Antwi with tom and jerry for 30 weeks all on Joy FM's Mega hits chart show.
