The young talented twenty-seven years Richard Kwesi Akrofi popularly known as Ex-Doe is back to the music industry to do it big after a long stay in Canada. Ex- Doe was once known for his popular Ewe song titled ‘Daavi Medi Kuku’ in the late 90s.

The grown Ex-doe is now married with kids right now, based in both Ghana and Canada. He has achieved what he has been wishing for all his life, which is being a musician and has given his fans all they expect from him.

For Ex-Doe it was his dream as he said to Ghana Music.com, “I was a street boy and still a street boy but all the same it was my childhood dream to be who I am right now”. Ex-Doe recalled to me how it all started back in the 80’s when he played drums and danced in a junior guitar band.

As at now, he is at the studio working on his album to come out soon which will have ten tracks on the cassette and twelve tracks on the compact disk. He told me about some memorable events, which took place in Canada.

It was a lifetime experience performing alongside Sean Paul, Elephant man and more. Some of his latest songs are being recorded at Ashanti International his Royal family and others at Appietus.

Asked why he has been away for so long he said ”Am a hustler and I need to struggle for the? future of my children and my family that is why I have been off the scene for sometime but I want to assure my fans that am now back? for them”.

“Combining my marriage with my street life and? music is not a problem at all for me. It is just like putting on an up and down suit that clicks very well, so you see I don’t have any problem with that,? he said”.

He thinks that the music industry is really growing and all should help to keep it up and especially to take on to the international scene, but not always concentrating on Ghana. What he really dislikes is that someone’s business always becomes another man’s problem.? With time, I know it will be okay".

It is strange and wonderful how he just disappears and appears in the industry again. Well fans of Ex-Doe, let us all keep our eyes on the road and watch out for our favourite Ex-doe, if he is the same hiplife rapper we all know or a different person.
