Singer, Fancy Gadam, remains inconsolable after the gory June 29 accident which claimed the lives of eight people, and the cancellation of a scheduled concert at the Aliu Mahama Stadium the next day.

The singer was supposed to host Nigeria’s Patoranking in a mammoth show which was to witness over 17,000 music lovers in attendance, but the mishap involving fans part of a welcome party to receive the “Total Cheat” man and his special guest, altered plans drastically.

“My heart is heavy right now , words can’t describe how I feel. I am sorry to announce to you that my show with Patoranking scheduled to come of tomorrow has been postponed indefinitely… I can’t lose my fans and still have the heart to stage a show”, said the singer via social media moments after hearing the news.

A sobering number produced by Stone B. Records, “Prayer”, as the song is titled, encapsulates Gadam’s emotions regarding the tragedy, as does the cover art for the single —which shows a tear trickling down his right eye.

A renowned performer, Gadam is 2018 winner of Ghana Music Awards’ Most Popular Song of the Year laurel, off the exploits of his Sarkodie collaboration, ” Total Cheat”.
