Gasmilla out with “Aboodatoi”

Gasmilla, a versatile and talented artist is the new sensation making waves in GH music. Gasmilla, christened Milla Lamptey is an old student of Wesley Grammer Senior High School and a graduate of the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS). He started his music career quite early in life. Whiles in Junior High, he recorded at the Hush Hush studios and featured on tracks of main stream hiplife artists. In year 2005, when Cold Eye Studios founders moved from Sweden to Ghana to be part of the music business, he was the first artist in their books. They recognized the talent and thought it right to have him on board.

Gasmilla has released a couple of singles in his musical career with the latest being his Aboodatoi song which his gaining waves in the street and on the media. His music cuts across genres due to his versatility. He has the ability to combine Hip-life with Soul and R&B and his affiliation with Blue Paper Entertainment has got him fusing ‘G-House’ (Blue Paper Entertainment’s genre of music) into his style of music.

His music has a delicate touch of ‘Africaness’ oozing from it but at the same time having that contemporary appeal. He has a growing fan base which has warranted the need to have him stay more in touch with his fans via web. For this reason, his fan page on facebook “gasmilla” was launched on Sunday September 11, 2011. This way, he will be able to interact first hand with his fans due to his very personable nature.

He is currently signed to Blue Paper Entertainment which represents him career-wise. He has performed on a couple of platforms notably amongst them is the 2011 edition of the Joy Fm old School re-union and the KNUST LMAO show. Most recently at the Ghana Music and Food Festival held at the Trade fair from the 28th- 30th October, 2011.

Gasmilla looks to making it big in the very difficult Ghanaian music industry. He believes in hard work and spends a minimum of 12hours daily in the studio. He however sees beyond all the hard work because of his love for music and his fans. His motivation is the joy he brings to his fans and the support of his mother who passed on a month after signing on to Blue paper record label. He is so approachable he seizes every opportunity to have a bonding moment with fans who call him on sight. He’s had so much of these encounters such that he’s lost count of the many picture moments he has had to share with his adorable fans.
