Ghana rocks concert launched

Charterhouse, Ghana’s leading event organisers have launched a concert dubbed “Ghana Rocks” with Ofori Amponsah and Friends in Accra.

The event which is slated for December 24 will feature Ghana’s biggest Contemporary Highlife artiste, Ofori Amponsah as the headline artiste.

Ofori has consistently released massive albums and has more than 12 Ghana Music Awards to his credit between his last three albums.

And his new album is already enjoying huge patronage.

The Christmas Eve concert promises to be an exciting prelude to Christmas and it would feature other artists such as Kofi B, Sasha Marley, Daasebre Gyamena, Kwaw Kese and Jeff Bogolobogo from Ivory Coast. This will be the second series of what has now become Ofori Amponsah’s annual Christmas show.

Patrons of last year’s event complained that Ofori’s live performance is a bit stiff but the star has assured his fans that he has improved and this year’s show would be worthwhile.

The event would definitely serve as a source of entertainment for Ghanaians all over the world who normally come back home for the Christmas holidays.
