Ghanaian gospel musician, Obaapa Linda has expressed her disappointment in some of her colleague artistes who charge huge amount of money before rendering a performance during gospel shows and in churches.
According to Obaapa, she is ready to kick start a campaign, "Operation Perform for Free” across Ghana just to create awareness about her readiness to give her all as a payback to God.
In an interview with seancitygh.com, the musician says she does not understand why some gospel musicians have taken the call duty as a business.
She continued to explain that the gospel music is a calling and that a gospel musician should not charge for a show.
"The gospel music is a calling and I don't understand why some gospel musicians charge huge amounts of money before performing. I am about starting Operation Perform for Free across Ghana. I want to tell churches and event organisers for gospel shows that I am ready to perform for free should any gospel musician charge them for a show. We are all working for God so I don't see the reason why you should charge when you are doing the work of God.
Obaapa Linda is one of the outstanding gospel talents who are putting a mark on the map as far as the gospel industry is concerned.
She is best remembered for her songs, Thank You, Mebra Yi Mu, among others.
