Hagar Appiah, a new entrant into the gospel music family has released her debut album which she calls ?Meye Ahwenee?, literally meaning ?I am weaving object?.

According to Hagar, she is poised to rock the gospel music fraternity with her latest as the title track of the album together with other songs like ?Dea onyame de me besi biaa, Ope wo Ntokwa and Otumfuo? have what it takes to rub shoulders with gospel heavy weights.

This is manifested in the sound quality as well as the song arrangements. On the flipside of the album are songs like ?Ade Fofro? which has a cool reggae rhythm for moments of mediation. ?Nya Anidasuo? follows with an Agbadze melody, which has the appeal to attract music lovers at anytime.

Although the Hagar Appiah may not ring a bell in the gospel music fraternity, Hagar is confident that her release can take her places.

Speaking with Graphic Showbiz, Mrs. Hagar Akwei known in showbiz circles, as Hagar Appiah did not mince words with her plans for the future. She said her dream is to be among the best of gospel musicians in the country. She also told Showbiz of her dream to go international.

As a junior secondary school leaver, she decided to pursue a career in music when she began to lead the praises and worship sessions at the Abrepo branch at the church of Pentecost Kumasi.

Hagar now worships with the Prayer Watch Temple at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
