Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku quits acting for good, releases first single “Bobo Bobo” featuring Eze
Popular Nigerian Actor Hanks Anuku, known for playing all the gangster roles in the Nollywood movie industry has finally decided to put the brakes on acting to venture into music fully.
The actor has faced many challenges in the make believe industry that has seen him go on the quiet for some time now. That may have affected his decision to quit the movie making industry and join the music industry.
“For now I am doing music because I have pulled off the acting career. Music has been in me for a very long time and I feel it’s time to show the world that aside the acting, I am naturally endowed with other talents.
I have resigned as an actor to a full time musician. Anytime I think about things going on, I feel I have to make a step considering the backbiting and favouritism in the movie industry and it is not making the movie industry a better place to belong yet I believe when one door closes thousand doors open,” he told Flex newspaper.
To start his new career in music, Hanks who has been signed onto the AfroFusion Music label owned by Ghana based Nigerian musician Jonathan Nwabinobi also known as Eze is ready with his maiden single.
The new single “Bobo Bobo”, an Igbo term which means “Guy Guy” talks about fidelity. It advises men to hold their women and treat them well because she may mean a lot to other men out there. The song also counsels ladies to do the same.
“Bobo Bobo” is produced by Super Brain for AfroFusion Music.
