He was in the midst of controversies surrounding who stole who?s song; title and lyrics of the popular ?African Woman? song which made headlines in 2004.

This generated lots of heated arguments, debates, swearing and a beef between hiplife artiste Kokoveli and the guy in question; Amingo. Ameyaw Bright, as he is affectionately called has been in music way back at during his days at Senior Secondary School where he won the hearts of most students and teachers during entertainment hours with the ?demo? of his song ?African Woman?.

Before he came out with the debut album ?Mpusuo?, he featured on the MOBOS award winner Batman Samini?s ?Do something? track on the ?Linda? album, where he really gave out his maximum best. He made it for himself in 2004, on the album which he alleged; part of the song was duplicated by Kokoveli.

He was under the production management of Lexyfry productions, the producer of Batman songs. He describes his experience in the first album as part of show business.

As he works on his 2nd album, he hinted that he has now registered all his tracks with MUSIGA, to save him from any of such occurrences in the near future.

His first album was in Francophone hiplife style, but he has hinted the WEEKLY FYLLA that he is now releasing an album with Dancehall tunes. This young and talented artiste described his first and successful hit album as a boom and hopes the upcoming one, awaiting executive production and management approval to be wow?.
