Tamale based dancehall artiste, Fancy Gadam has described himself as the biggest musician in Ghana; not even self-acclaimed Dancehall act, Shatta Wale he says, can be compared to him.

“Mention all the A-list artistes in Ghana and trust me no one comes close to my popularity in Ghana. Not even Shatta Wale, others can compete with me, I have massive following and they believe I’m the biggest’, he bragged.

According to him, although he is not popular in Accra, he has been able to ‘conquer’ the Northern, Ashanti, and Greater Accra regions and believes his fan base in those areas guarantee him fame.

Ahmed Mujahid Bello, who has joined same stage with Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy in Tamale said there can never be a successful event in the North without him.

“All the A-list artistes know that their shows cannot be successful in Tamale or any other town in the North if I am not on bill, I filled the Tamale Sport Stadium, National Theatre, Bukom Arena to the masses and you think I am not the biggest in Ghana? Gadam questioned Delay.

Speaking in an interview with Delay on the ‘Delay Show’ last Sunday, Fancy Gadam said he has no match as far as creativity and skill is concerned. ‘I do not even think any political party in Ghana here can bus people to their rallies like I do for my fans, all these shows are paid for and my fans come in their numbers’.

Explaining why he is loved so much in the North, Fancy Gadam said “in the northern region every song of mine is a national anthem to them.
