Fast rising Ghanaian hiplife musician Kuami Eugene has admitted something most musicians shy away from, which is the preference to perform their music alone without having to feature others all the time.
Kuami Eugene says he prefers to do his songs alone; he acknowledged that it sounds selfish but that is the truth.
“I actually don’t like featuring because I am selfish when it comes to singing, I always want to be on my songs alone but management won’t allow me, they will want to add people,” he said.
The singer since his big break has featured only two people in his music,’ Natural Girl’ hit singer MzVee and Kojo Cue.
Kuami Eugene, however, noted that he was learning how to come to terms with it, saying, “I just don’t want to feature anybody sometimes, but it is cool. I will feature people soon. I am learning to do that.”
The singer who expressed great ambition in the music industry said he would have loved to do a collaboration with the late ‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson, saying he admired his songs and way of doing music describing him as a master piece.
“I would love to do a feature with Michael Jackson because he has a nice voice and dude is just crazy. He has done wonderful songs, he is dead but the world is still listening to Michael Jackson. He is a master piece I would have loved to meet him and do a song with him, unfortunately, he is dead,” he noted.
The "Angela" hitmaker told Ghanaians to expect him to win a BET award in the next 3 years as he is aiming at big stages all over the world.
“I want to climb the BET stage, the GRAMMYS and I mean every big platform in the world. I am in to stay so every big platform out there I want to be on. I will a BET award in 3 years,” he prophesied.
