Bhimnation act Stonebwoy has revealed that prior to him leaving his former management label, High-grade Family, he wrote some of the hits songs female dancehall artiste Kaakie has to her credit.
The 2015 4Syte Influential artiste of the year made this revelation in an interview with Nkosuohene while on tour in Germany.
“Yes when Kaakie came into the music scene, I together with JMJ decided to groom her to do dancehall instead of the RnB she was known for during her stay in the Stars of The Future competition. And that was where it all started. JMJ comes up with the beat and I write the lyrics down, sample it and leave it to her to do justice to it,” he said.
He also went on to say that he wrote Kaakie’s first hit song thus Ewo as well as Too Much.
“ I wrote the Ewo song for Kaakie and the first time I heard it on radio, I was happy. Actually the first thing I said when I heard it was ..eeiii I wrote that song and not long after the big bomb which is her Too Much track came,” he said.
