Ever since his entry onto the Ghanaian music scene thanks to Kontihene’s ‘Aso’ track, Kwabena Kwabena has known no stopping delighting music fans with hit after hit.

Times are tough, evident by power cuts, unemployment opportunities, high cost of living, increase in fares and fuel product as well as general hardships globally but in such times good music provides needed respite.

Kwabena provides such hope in his ‘Bue Kwan’ song featuring the gifted Steve Bedi. The song has both reggae and jazz undertones accentuated by Kwabena’s highlife leanings.

The save a heart campaigner commits his being into the hands of the almighty upon rising in the morning whereupon he asks the lord to guide his path, open doors for him because he not only faces physical obstacles but principalities from the underworld with sinister motives who plot evil against him.

Kwabena is full of praise to God for granting him life to wake after sleeping through the darkness of night submitting himself to the big papa for his meals, beverages and clothing recounting that if God makes provision for the ant he has no reason to doubt him.

Video for the song shot by Take 2 Films is refreshing. Shots of the locations give colour to the video, overheard shots are good as is the use of traditional symbols apt.

The African themed costumes are on point as well.Use of church symbols, pews and lighting is also nicely done although the repetitive shots could have been limited.

Soak in ‘Bue Kwan’ for some inspiration.
