Mon, 25 Sep 2006 Source: ghanamusic.com

The street is talking about Inspector Figga?s upcoming album in Switzerland after his first major performance on stage after winning a rap battle, and also being a guest artiste at the African Festival in Geneva.

A few weeks to come, Inspector Figga would be side-by-side with top notched hiplife artistes. ?I consider my music as the story telling type and things that go on in life now,? he said.

?I did not just want to be a rapper, it just came natural. When the spirit of the rap enters me, I just put the pen on the paper and start writing some good music making my mum always says wow?, he continued.

As for the new album, ?I want to make it light and easy for people to dance to and sing along so the whole song is based on feel-good elements?, he added.

Inspector Figga says his favourite artistes are countless but is down with top gurus like Castro, Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour, Lord Kenya, Mzbel, Mr. All 4 Real, Lumba, Kojo Antwi, Mzbel, K. K. Fosu, Kofi Nti and Batman.

As you can denote from the album title, ?Kutrefather?, fathers must be responsible to their offsprings. ?Most of our fathers give birth and take responsibility of their children?, he said.

?My favourite song is titled ?Time? because everything is done according to time. We will even go to Heaven with time. All that I mean is time is money?, he said.

Hoping to be accepted with his ?Kutrefather album?, he also raps on the subject ?Honey?, which is special to him.

I believe Inspector Figga has a lot on his mind, and has got a story to tell that?s gonna blow everybody away just like other stories.

He also hopes to collaborate with other undisclosed artistes in Ghana.

Currently, a student studying law, he has been away from Ghana for some years now.

Where will you be when Inspector Figga releases the album? He is hoping you?ll be in the stores, buying the album.
