Unplugged's Jon Germain One...two... three and roll. If you watch Metro TV, you must have seen a handsome, eloquent, braid-spotting and classy presenter by name Jon Germain.
Well, do not mistaken his identity. The dude is truly Ghanaian and a Fante for that matter. This 28 year old hunk is certainly one of the finest TV presenters in Ghana. Jon Germain Jnr. (his real name) was born 28 years ago to Prof. John St. Germain and Hannah Owusu Ansah.
He attended Datus Complex School and Harvard College. With such eloquence and a good voice, it was no surprise that he was trained and introduced to radio by Tommy Annan Forson on Choice FM in 1997.
Jon Germain distinguished himself at Choice FM and worked from 1997-2001 presenting programs like Homeward Bound.
In the year 2001, he moved from choice FM to Atlantis FM owned by Mr. James Appiah. Having been in radio for close to 5 years, Jon Germain decided to go into television. When the CEO of Metro TV, Mr. Talal Fatal heard his voice, he was impressed and he asked him to co-present Smash TV on Metro TV in the year 2002. He started by doing voice training for the cast of Fabian in the popular telenovela Cuando Seas Mia on Metro TV.
Since then, there has been no turning back for Jon Germain. He is the presenter and producer of Smash TV and Unplugged, a program dedicated to interviewing and reviewing the albums of music artists and the producers in the music industry. Unplugged which is currently off the screen would be coming back soon.
Jon Germain is single and loves playing his guitar, listening to music and reading. What does the future holds for Jon Germain? He says the sky is definitely the limit.
