Accra Mr Austin Gamey, Deputy Minister of Employment and Social Welfare, has called on African countries to identify, train and build a new dynamic entrepreneur who will assist to speed up and sustain economic development. "It is critical we bring out all the available potential entrepreneurs of small and medium-scale enterprises who have the capacity to contribute significantly to accelerate socio-economic growth," he said. This was contained in a speech read for him at the closing session of the Second Commonwealth Entrepreneurs Trainer-Motivators Programme for Africa in Accra. The seminar which started three weeks ago was organized by the Management Development and Productivity Institute (MDPI) and sponsored by the Commonwealth Secretariat. It was aimed at training 24 participants from 13 Commonwealth African countries in initiating, planning and implementing entrepreneurial development activities.
