King Richard Offor, a member of Shabak Music Promotion International, an organization of a number of churches that runs a Gospel Rock show annually in Accra, is to launch his debut album entitled My Provider.

Offor is a Nigerian resident in Ghana and a member of Miracle Revival Church International. He had been the director of music for Miracle Revival for 10 years and gave up the position to another person last year to enable him concentrate on song ministration, which he believes is his calling.

My Provider has 10 songs on the CD and comprises soul-wracking worship songs which will put every Christian in a meditative mood. The Power of One, Make Me Stand, Shabak are all examples of such worship songs.

My Provider, according to King Richard Offor, is a redefinition of God Jehovah Jireh. ?I intend provide a complete image of God for Christians to understand Him better?.

He said the song calls on Christians not to relent if their request in prayer has not been fulfilled. He says there is the need to know who God is and what he can do.

King Richard Offor who dropped out of university in Nigeria, said back home after this failed attempt, he started feeling that he must dedicate himself entirely to the work of God.

He said he kept getting this feeling until later his aunt invited him to come to Ghana and assist her in her second-hand clothing business.

In Ghana, he started worshipping with Miracle Revival Church and was involved in all the activities of the church choir till he became the music director.

He added that he started working on the album some four years ago but financial problems kept delaying the project until he met with Emmy Music Production which offered to provide the needed assistance.

He said Emmy Music Production had funded the entire project from studio to production.
