Kirk Franklin International gospel music super star Kirk Franklin arrives in Accra today to participate in a three day international music concert. Accompanying him, is a 22 member crew ready to sell Kirk?s brand of music which many Ghanaians are familiar with.

Kirk is no mean artiste; when it comes to gospel music. His maiden album titled, ?Kirk Franklin and the Family? released in 1993 become the first gospel album made history by becoming the first gospel album ever to sell over a million copies. He has been successful at his chosen trade because his musical style transcends all boundaries of genre, race, denomination or societal background.

Weaving diverse musical influences ? R & B, modern rock, hip-hop, pop, jazz, traditional gospel has been Kirk?s trade mark. The concert dubbed "Bounce for Christ" is being organised by Gospelfest Africa and will also feature Papa san, the Jamaican winner of Rap/Hip Hop CD of the year award at the 19th Stellar Awards for gospel music.

In spite of his popularity on stage, Kirk?s faith in God is unshakeable. "I can look over my life and career now and see both reasons of success as well as struggles and pitfall," says Kirk, " and God has allowed it all. It?s all done with the purpose of the Lord drawing you closer to Him ? getting you closer to where he wants you to be.

And it can be painful sometimes until you reach the point where you can see it?s all been for a purpose and that?s a true moment of awakening and rebirth."
