Knii Lante’s ‘Baby take good care’ has entered the Top 25 reggae singles chart at number 24 in the Jamaica weekly music charts for the 3rd week of November.
The song which features Queen Ifrica is a single off Knii Lante’s second album ‘True Feelings’ produced by Mikie Bennett and Dean Fraser, digitally released and distributed under VP records.
‘Baby take good care’ is competing in the chart alongside songs from big guns Morgan Heritage, Chronixx, Jah Cure, Duane Stephenson and other top Jamaican artistes.
According to Knii Lante “it really feels great to enter the charts in Jamaica; it means the music is being noticed internationally which is positive for Ghanaian music.
It was such an honour to have Queen Ifrica agreeing to feature on the song and also perform with her during the launch in Kingston earlier this year, many thanks to Monty Bryant and the management at Deluge entertainment and Synergy Muzik “ he added.
After announcing the news on social media, Knii Lante tweeted “Dedicating my song "Baby take Good Care" 2 selfless African + Cuban Drs. and missionaries who left their loved ones 2 fight Ebola in Africa” .
Meanwhile the video for the song has been scheduled for release in December. The Jamaica weekly chart show is hosted by Richie B on Mellow fm. Fans can acquire 'True Feelings' on iTunes.
