Kwasi Tay Releases ?The Prelude?

Kwasi Tay, a young broad-faced handsome Ghanaian musician living in Seattle, Washington is making airwaves in the Ghanaian community with his vibrant music.

His debut album Island Girl caught on well with music lovers in the US, and his second album Kwasi Tay Prelude which has the elements of originality and African ingenuity has been accepted by whites.

This ten track cassette album opens with first track ?Welcome To Da Zone?. It has a refreshing sound and elements of calypso and souka beat.

The second track on this side is a Terry Bonchaka musically flavoured beat. It is vibrant and melodious.

Kwasi Tay, though an Ewe fuses this track with twi lyrics ?Efie Ne Fie? literally meaning Home Sweet Home and gives advice to all and sundry in Ghana to marry before traveling or going abroad. He again introduces rap in Ewe in the track making it beautiful medley in rhythm and melody.

Another track ?Sunday Afternoon? which is the third song in English is all about good times roll and grooving musically all day long on Sunday. It has hiplife tunes with good instrumentation of the bass guitar.

The last track ?For Your Love? is a medley of reggae and souka sang in English. It spills out lyrical expressions like ?I will do anything for your Love? and has a romantic touch interlaced with a rap.

On the flipside, reggae has a dominance with some bit of ragga stuff making his side more musically explosive.

The first on this side is reggae and ragga in fusion. Then follows the ?Lom Na Va? which literally means in Ewe If You Love me Come which is a slow reggae with a drum beat.

The third is entitled ?Dangerous? and talks about life in New York City that one needs to be careful in life. It is followed by ?To Wo Megbe? meaning It is Just Like You.

Kwasi Tay has an enamouring musical profile having started as a DJ in night clubs in Seattle, Washington. Other professional pursuit is in the corporate business sector where he practices as an accountant.

Kwasi Tay?s second album was recorded in the US. It is being marketed here in Ghana in Accra by Lucky Sounds at Kantamanto.
