Very often, he has been described as a ladies’ man, perhaps, that name can be justified by his charming looks and smooth voice.
But as it were, it appeared the public required more of him than just a smooth voice and a charming appearance. That is why last Wednesday, “sexy looking” Benjamin Akill, was ushered out of the competition, for collating as low as 5.93% of the total sms votes by the general public.
As if to make maters worse for the young man, It was her buddy from school time, Sandra, who gave him the bad news. Apparently Akill and Sandra had the least votes in the competition for that week. And when they hugged to say good buy, Sandra’s eyes which had already welled-up in tears, wept for the eviction of her dear friend.
In a short profile presented on www.charterhouseghana.com, Akill’s answer to “What if you do not win this competition?” reflects a strong-willed person who will easily move-on, no matter what happened. His specific answer had been “Not winning this competition will certainly not be the end of the world. Mind you, being part of this competition is already a step forward to success and I know better days are ahead…”
Even though Akill is out of the competition, he did not leave empty handed, he walked away with 2 million cedis, product hampers from FC and Close-Up.
Last Wednesday during the eviction of Akill, the organizers fulfilled their promise of rewarding three individuals who sent-out the highest number of votes. One received a cool 2 million cedis cash and the others received hampers from Close-up.
Tomorrow afternoon, the contestants will, for the first time, will sing a variety of Ghanaian songs that will undoubtedly prove their versatility with singing all genres of music. And then on Wednesday one of the remaining eight will be evicted.
Still in the competition are; Noble, Sandra, Justice, Fredrica, Daniel, Twum Barima, Clare and Betty. Stars of the Future is another exclusive concept by Charterhouse and sponsored by Areeba, GTV, Close – up, Castle Milk Stout, National Theatre and Universal Motors.
