For some it was the chance of a lifetime, for others a shot at stardom; and for many more it was their moment to chase their dream! So thousands attended auditions for IDOLS WEST AFRICA, sang their hearts out, and took their turn in the spotlight.

Now, set to the rhythm of these dreams, hopes and desires, IDOLS WEST AFRICA makes its big TV debut on M-NET on Sunday February 18 at 6pm. And audiences can expect emotion, attitude and drama against a backdrop of music, music and more music!

A global television phenomenon, whose international franchise draws millions in viewership, IDOLS is a headline-making dream machine that transforms its singers into superstars. Now with the auditions in Lagos, Abuja, Accra and Calabar completed the show hits M-NET screens across Africa.

Episode one of the series is an introduction to the IDOLS story as presenter Mike Majic relives the excitement of the past few weeks as auditions for the show got underway.

DStv audiences can tune in and watch IDOLS judges Dede Mabiaku, Abrewa Nana and Dan Foster compliment and criticize the contestants, search for true talent and find some surprises along the way. Plus follow eager singers as they get their date with destiny, find out why laughter and tears are part of the IDOLS package and discover who made it into the next round!

Episode 1 will screen on Sunday February 18, with episode 2 following immediately on Monday February 19. Then audiences can tune in again on Sunday February 25 for episode 3. In episode 4 on Monday February 26, IDOLS heads to Planet One in Lagos which will be the home of IDOLS WEST AFRICA, to find the TOP 24 contestants for the show. So stay tuned to M-Net in February for IDOLS WEST AFRICA.

In addition, DStv Channel 37 will also focus on IDOLS WEST AFRICA! The channel will be available to DStv Premium and Compact subscribers on the W4 and IS 7 platforms, and will offer viewers more from the IDOLS auditions. The channel will be available from Sunday February 18, running on that day from 6pm to midnight. Every day thereafter, until March 4 , the channel will offer approx. 16 hours of content daily, starting at 06.00 and ending at midnight.
