A talented singer, Mama Lucy Konadu, has released a new album expressing gratitude to God for delivering the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost Ghana, Apostle Michael Ntumi, from the recent attack he experienced in Accra.
Amazingly, the time frame between the Apostle's attack and the release of this album is unexpectedly short.
According to Lucy, there has been several attempts to kill him, but none was successful, indicating that God has been very generous to the entire Church of Pentecost and therefore needs to be thanked.
The album's title is 'Pentecost Fire, Eye Ogya', a 10-track album designed to thank God and also encourage listeners to hold on their faith because the days are evil.
Mama Lucy has come a long way from the Church of Pentecost, Stuttgart, to show her appreciation to God for protecting Apostle Ntumi. "I was very glad when I heard the attackers were defeated and said in my heart, I would write a song to thank God", she said.
The album opens with 'Pentecost Fire', a danceable thanksgiving song to God. Assuring listening that the fire that appeared on the day of Pentecost was still burning, she expressed a view that it was what protected the Apostle's life. She then called on all listeners to help them to thank God whenever they heard the song.
Another song on the album is 'Jesus Wui Maa Me', that is in appreciation of the sacrifice Christ made on the cross to change our destinies: he saved us and healed us by his stripes.
'Onyame Ye Odamfo', express the graciousness of God and Lucy says as long as she lives, she will praise the Lord and serve him well because there will be no time for her after she dies.
'Odomankroma' is mid tempo, very appropriate for worship and the rhythm and the lyrics are suited for that purpose.
Lucy is married to Mr. Kwaku Boateng and has three children. She produced the album herself but was directed by Mr. Sammy Aning, a music director.
