Matthew Ansah, a young gospel musician with so much potential, will on Sunday October 16 launch his maiden album, ‘Atmosphere of Praise’ in a spectacular fashion at the Lord’s Tabernacle branch of ICGC, Abofu Achimota, at 3pm.

Matthew is a promising contemporary gospel musician in the country who believes in not just singing but spirit-filled ministration. His maiden album has soul inspiring songs such as “Yahweh, Thank you, Do Awurade” together with a high Praise medley. The album with seven (7) tracks features Jeshurun Okyere, Baaba Enning and Sylvia Coomson and is on the Cross Recordz label, which is a new record company seeking to unveil African talents in Contemporary Gospel Music. Prior to working on the album, Matthew released a single in January 2011 titled “W’adom” which received heavy airplay and was part of Citi FM-First Capital Plus Single of the Month Promotion.

The album is a blend of soulful rhythms carved from an African setting with a dominant contemporary feel to it. Perhaps, thisresults from the quality of production given the technical folks he employed in the recording of the album. On tracks such as ‘Yaweh’, ‘Do Awurade’ and the vintage Praise Medley, Matthew exudes all you will want from your favourite gospel musician; touching lyrics and creative arrangements.

Matthew Ansah affectionately called “Jaja” by his peers began singing since his childhood days in the Apostolic Church through to his high school days at Mfantsipim School. He was a member of Joyful Way Incorporated (JWI) and part of the pioneers of the JWI phase II in 2003. He has been on church missions, village outreaches, and crusades and seeks to continue with more outreach in educational institutions and rural communities to touch lives; evangelism through music is his focus.

At the University of Ghana Business School where Matthew pursued a Bachelor of Science in Administration (Marketing), he excelled and gained prominence among his peers as a Marketing “Brain” with a lot of potential. He was the Music Director of the Apostolic Church Students and Associates (APOSA) Choir and had a stint in radio while on Legon campus as he earned a reputation as an outstanding on-air presenter at Radio Universe. He was well known for talk shows and was a Master of Ceremony (MC) for most programs on Campus. Currently, the multi-talented Matthew is currently a Marketing Communications Professional with AdSpace DDB Ghana, a leading advertising Agency in Ghana affiliated with DDB Worldwide Communications Group.

On Sunday 16th October, 2011, Matthew will be the new addition to the gospel music circuit as he launches his maiden album, ‘Atmosphere of Praise’, at the Lord’s Tabernacle branch of ICGC, Abofu Achimota, at 3pm. The guest ministers to grace the album launch include Pastor Joe Beecham, Joe Mettle and other anointed ministers.
