Former contestants of the MTN Hitmaker, Yaw Berk and Mr Drew
Two former contestants of the annual music talent show, MTN Hitmaker, Yaw Berk and Mr Drew, have called for a more transparent and credible system.
The two artistes appearing on GH Entertainment on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, urged organizers of the music contest, to make the voting system transparent so contestants would know how they are performing on regular basis.
They described the Hitmaker as a great show which gives opportunity to talented undercover artiste to shine but stressed the need for the system to be more transparent and credible.
‘MTN Hitmaker is a good platform and I will commend the organizers. I learnt a lot from there. You are exposed to a lot of opportunities but I will admonish them to have a more credible and transparent voting system.
The voting system is not credible and I felt there is the need for them to have a transparent system.’’ Yaw Berk said.
Mr Drew on his part said, ‘I also have a similar opinion. The system should be transparent and credible. But the competition is a good one,’’ he added.
Yaw Berk participated in seasons 5 and 6 of Hitmaker and was adjudged 2nd Runner Up. He is an Afro-Trap Artiste (Rapper) and on the Highly Spiritual label owned by Kaywa.
He has released a single titled ‘Independent Lady’ produced by Sambney and the video was directed by Prince Dovlo and available on Youtube.
Mr Drew was the 1st Runner Up in the Season 6 of the Hitmaker.
He has released a single titled ‘Gimme Love’ produced by Kaywa and the video is also available on Youtube and was directed by StevenFilms.
