The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has commended controversial songstress Mzbel on her decision to stage an anniversary concert dubbed ‘Mzbel Red Concert’.
According to the Union, it would be offering its unflinching support to Mzbel to ensure a great show come February.
The anticipated huge concert is slated for February 7, 2015 at the National Theatre in Accra, where thousands of Mzbel’s fans are expected to gather for a lot of excitement.
The ‘I am 16 years old’crooner announced the concert last week Tuesday saying it was to celebrate her 10th anniversary in Ghana’s music business. She announced she would use the platform “to draw more attention to women empowerment and children related issues especially girl child protection…” President of MUSIGA Bice Osei Kufour stated at the event’s launching that MUSIGA would support the event and its activities.
“The Union is very proud to see a female artiste come this far to celebrate a decade of good music and successful career,” he added.
The event would be a four-day celebration of Mzbel’s career, starting on February 3 and would be climaxed with the main concert on February 7.
She chose the love month of February because her brand has always been built on love and she has always made sure that women enjoy the better portion of love.
Ahead of the concert, she has released a new single titled, ‘Legelege,’ to start preparing the grounds for the celebration.
