MUSIGA joins violence free electioneering campaign

The President of the Musicians Union of Ghana, MUSIGA, Diana Hopeson, has appealed to Ghanaians to refrain from violence in this year’s election.

She made the call at an awards night organized by members of the Central Regional Branch of the Union. Mrs. Hopeson disclosed that MUSIGA has recorded two songs to educate Ghanaians towards ensuring a peaceful election.



According to her, the union would start a peace concert tour of all the regional capitals from the 10th of next month to the 9th of November. She donated a computer to the Central Regional branch and promised to organize a workshop to train staff of the branch more about the music industry.

Receiving the computer, the President of the Central Region Branch of the Union, John Victor Owusu, lamented how society disregard the music industry. He said he was disappointed that the public give little support to musicians and musical programmes.
