Manifest teams up with Krukid to ask ‘If I Was A King’

Influential rapper Manifest together with Uganda’s Krukid have produced ‘if I was a king’ a song analysing abuse of power and the ability to use power for good.

Manifest opens up the debate with an eye on the possibility of abusing subjects or being open to abuse by enemies contemplating if he was a king would he be fair and offer justice, would he abolish religion and increase taxes, would he be beaten up like Rodney King or shot like Martin King.

Krukid enters asking if he was royalty would he rule honourably or would subjects have problems with him, would he have only one queen, would he send soldiers to the battle field so he can lay with their wives?.

Kru assures that when he becomes king he wants to be king for the people, keep things fair and equal and would love to believe he earned the right to be regal. Manifest comes in explaining that when made king, he hopes to symbolise hope.

This is a piece leaders anywhere and everywhere must listen to, to assess where they stand on the divide. Krukid’s rhymes are deep so are manifest’s manifestations.
