The hiplife industry is growing bigger and improving with variety each passing day.

The differences comes in various forms; choice of lyrics, instrumentation and the individual artistes invited to feature on their songs.

One person who has entered the world of hiplife with a style of his won is Maxwell Kobena Mintah aka Maxi. The Last Killer in showbiz with his debut title Foowaa. Some of his songs are already enjoying airplay and it will not be surprising to see it enter the charts soon.

The songs on the album include the title track ?Foowaa? which is a highly danceable tune and sang in both Twi and Ga, with a strong vocal backing in which he asks his sweetheart why she is behaving this way towards him and asks her not to cry.

?Meda nnda? is a combination of the indigenous ?Yaa Aponsah? and rap which makes it a really interesting piece in which he tells his woman how he is dying to see her and also warns her about friends. This is a bit slow but will either put people on their feet or nod and clap their hands in appreciation.

?Hwe Nnkwan? in which he encourages the youth to enjoy is fast-paced infused with rich African proverbs although he keeps on repeating the same thing.

What makes ?Serious? interesting is the way the words used in the rap and the song itself rhymes in a scheme. It is in the mid-tempo vein and has a strong danceable rhythm. In this song Maxi expresses his feelings towards his lover.

Born in 1982 at Bremen Asikuma in the Central Region where he had his Junior Secondary School education. Maxwell came to Accra to learn Furnishing Designing for two years after which he was employed by Fiifi Ray to work in his shop at Teshie.
