Michael Dwamena Bounces Back

After causing a major stir on the Ghanaian music scene with his hit track ?TIBIDI? which became the toast of music lovers a few years ago, Michael Dwamena has been on the quiet for sometime now.

His long absence from the musical landscape led to rife speculation amongst his fans and admirers that the handsome musician had at long last bid farewell to his first love; music.

Fortunately, all those die-hard Michael Dwamena fans can today heave a sigh of relief because their idol who presently resides in Dallas Texas in the US has bounced back onto the musical scene in grand style.

Presently, he has finished with his fourth album which will soon hit the market. From all indications the latest album titled ?Owo Mostsi? is a vast improvement over his previous albums and is likely to become the favourite of music lovers.

Talk about the rhythm, instrumentation and lyrics of all the songs on the album and one is likely to come to the conclusion that Michael has indeed matured musically and gained lots of experience over the years.

The album boasts of variety of tracks and music genres like hiplife, highlife and zouk. According to Michael his target is to capture the international market in the near future.

Some of the fascinating and danceable tracks on the album include, ?Mama?, a track dedicated to all hardworking mothers, ?Nkozi? an afro-pop sound with Twi lyrics, ?Citizens of the world?, ?Wonti? which has a beautiful video currently running on TV and a remix of ?Tibidi?.

Michael features prolific artistes including the multiple award winner Batman Samini, Shortman, Samuel Owusu, Molato and Mr. Brown, on the album.

With three renowned sound engineers, Bodo Steiger, Zapp Mallet and Appietus working on it, the new album is definitely in a class of its own. The album is expected to be distributed by Jameen Records.
