Morphat adds 'fat' to gospel dancehall

Critically acclaimed gospel dancehall artiste Morphat is set to thrill followers with an extended play of his songs for the listening pleasure of his fans.

The EP is a compilation of his hit tunes and comes along with a note to his fan. The gospel dancehall album is a shift from his former genre of secular reggae/dancehall music as a result of faith.

The biblical raggalist is currently working with urban gospel artiste, Regardless, to promulgate an urban gospel movement named Truth Nation.

Songs on the EP include Me Against the World, I’m Blessed and Nuh Fear. The compilation has so far received praise and endorsement from Jay Smoke, Jupitar De General, Brainy Beatz and Pee Wisel.

A final year student of the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Morphat seeks to change the face of gospel music by adding elements of music assumed to belong to secular music.

This move will indeed add flesh to gospel music and set him on a path to meet the likes of Cwesi Oteng, KingzKid and the Regardless.

His team, Truth Nation, currently boast of a state of the art recording studio and are poised to change the phase of Ghanaian Gospel music.

In his own words, the Raggalist assures his fans that, Though mi walk through the valley of the shadow of death no evil can befall; me looking back no more.

The future for urban gospel seems bright as Morphat has decided to hold high the flag of gospel dancehall.
