Dr Adolph Lutterodt, a leading member of the central committee of the Convention Party (CP) said yesterday that the CP has become a target of infiltration by other political parties determined to break their front. Dr Lutterodt was speaking at an Ashiaman constituency conference of the CP at which substantive executives were elected to run the affairs of the party in the constituency. He reminded the members that party activity is characterised by infiltration into other parties to cause confusion within and the only way to repel the target on the CP is for the members to close their ranks and remain resolute.
Dr Lutterodt said some of the tricks being used by ''our opponents is to ask CP supporters attending conferences to wait at given points for transport to pick them but such vehicles never turn up." The Rev David Daitey, Ashiaman constituency secretary of the party listed lack of office accommodation, a typewriter and means of transport as the major problems facing the party. He called for a sign board, posters and hand flags to publicise the CP in the constituency. Other executive members are Mr Sampson Barouk, chairman, Mr Thomas Adjamle, treasurer, Mr Asiedu Appiah, organiser, and Madam Memuna Sumaila, women's organiser.
