Mr. Eazi showcases Ghana tourism in ‘Skintight’ Video

When originality meets artistry, very little can go wrong and in this space of brilliance has emerged Mr. Eazi, the Nigerian-born but Ghana based afro-beat artiste.

He comes with a multicultural outlook when it comes to music and has over the period of 4 months produced hit after hit that puts him in line for the throne of the contemporary Ghanaian afro-pop scene.

SkintTight, which is the 3rd single off his yet to be released EP, LifeisEazi, features the award winning songstress Efya. The video was shot in Ghana’s first luxury safari hotel Zaina Lodge right in the heart of the Mole National Park.

The video takes a spin with the wonderful setting of Ghana’s wildlife. Mostly not thought of as the location for today’s upbeat music, Mr. Eazi has taken the daring decision to put tourism on the frontier of music by riding into the wild with Efya to showcase the treasures that lie in Northern Ghana.

Zaina lodge which sits on a hill overlooking the wild savanna forest serves is home to hundreds of wild deer, water bucks, antelope, baboons, hyenas, leopards and even elephants. It’s like an oasis in a desert, with all that luxury sprawling in the bush.

“For an artiste like Mr Eazi, with such a versatile and distinct style, this exotic location was the best option to bring out the emotion the video was meant to portray”, Nana Asihene the talented video director said. Mr Eazi also added that “there was no need to go to Zanzibar, Kenya or any other safari location when we had all this sitting right here in Ghana”. One thing is clear for Mr Eazi, and that is, he is here for the long haul.

With a lot of artistes working on tunes that fail to influence and inspire others to follow in their stead, Mr. Eazi has over time shown his commitment to music and his passion for the love of rhythm, words and a hint of what makes our culture more relevant and different as Africans. His music is a marriage of melody and lyrical content.

However, the beauty of his music wouldn’t make a 360 run without the visuals that tell the stories which common imagination can’t suffice.

The single, 'Bankulize' announced his presence with an award worthy video which graced the screens of Trace TV and Soundcity West Africa. Now let’s keep our fingers crossed to see what ‘Skin Tight’ has to offer. We are eager to see the other side of the artiste who sees innovation, originality and creativity as the bedrock to his success.
