Mufty DabreMufti Dabre in his last days is said to have found a mysterious cockroach in his pants. The cockroach according to his bosom friend and brother Fiifi Banson, who was a witness, was found after Mufti kept stamping his feet on the ground complaining of something crawling in his pants.

Fiifi Banson told Radio Gold?s Solid Gold Countdown that his Mufti in a dramatic fashion removed his pants and saw a weird cockroach crawling down his private parts. Mufti then killed the cockroach, lifted it with his left hand and threw it outside in a trash.

When asked what killed Mufti, Fiifi admitted he couldn?t place a finger on any particular disease since all the tests conducted on him including HIV/AIDS proved negative.

However, he refused to say there is a spiritual hand in Mufti?s death since no one can prove true the rumours flying around town.

A very distraught Fiifi Banson speaking in a subdued tone touched on his strong bond with Mufti Dabre whom he prefers to call a brother than just a friend. Mufti is the only person Fiifi could trust with keys to his car and house.

Their eighteen-year-old relationship came to an end when Mufti was taken away by the pangs of death last Thursday in Kumasi after a nine-month old mysterious illness.

Mufti Dabre had been sick since October 2006 and had gone to hospitals time without number but couldn?t find exactly what was wrong with him, muchless to heal himself. Sources say he received strange text messages and phone calls threatening his life months before he died. He was Ofori Amponsah?s manager and an affable Peace FM presenter whose death hit Ghana with shock on June 14, 2007.
