Obrafour is the best Ghanaian rapper of all time - M.anifest

Award-winning Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has waded into the ongoing debate about who is Ghana’s best rapper of all time. The Madina-based artiste finally made his views known on the subject when on Monday morning he called Obrafour “the best Ghanaian rapper of all time.”

It is not clear what triggered his early morning declaration except it is coming days after the latter openly spoke about how his maiden album Pae Mu Ka may also be the best hiplife album of the years, ostensibly suggesting the feat is his to beat.

“The standard of Pae Mu Ka to be honest with you, I think I have not been able to meet that standard and so it’s a challenge to me to at least come close to it, match it or topple it,” he’s said. “I believe that I will be able to topple it. I have trust in God that yes he will make it happen.”

Obrafour, whose August 26 release of his first official single off the upcoming Obra Foforo album has been postponed, over the weekend performed in the United Kingdom.

He is due back home in few days to put finishing touches to the release of the album. The talented singer/composer/rapper has suggested a new direction for the upcoming material.

“I’ve always said that at this point in life there is nothing spiritually fulfilling, self satisfying to me than to work on my salvation and work on the salvation of others as the goal of Christendom is to win souls for Christ.

“I have been contemplating that for so long, I will leave it to God. I don’t want to play God where I decide for God. It is my prayer and he knows what my heart desires are, so I leave it to him. I have this, time and again that I would want to do the work of God.

“The goal of my church is to preach the second coming of Christ. So it is my sole aim and my desire to be able to be in good standing and play an active part in winning souls for Christ.

“I have been around; I have been shuffling in and out of the country and I have been spending much time with my family, bonding and making sure I catch up with every unit in time as they grow. You need to raise the kids the way they should grow.”
